Huxtable Farm view from bench on a frosty morning

Surrounded with open fields, woods and a stream, nestling in the foot hills of Exmoor National Park, approach Huxtable Farm by ‘Strawberry lane’, in which wild strawberries can be picked in early summer.

This secluded Medieval Devon Longhouse, dating back to 1520 has all the modern facilities amidst it’s many original features, such as oak screen panelling and beams, open fireplaces with bread ovens, uneven floors and low doorways!

It was here that the name ‘Huxtable’ is said to have originated in 1330, please click here for more information on the ‘Huxtable’ name.
